An NYPD officer was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a former girlfriend at gunpoint in a Staten Island parking lot.

The Daily News reports 28-year old Arthur Roldan was off duty when the alleged attack occurred on July 31 at 11PM.

Roldan works in Brooklyn’s 78th Precinct in Park Slope and is a six-year veteran of the NYPD. Since his arrest, he has been suspended from the department without pay.

Roldan has been charged with rape, menacing, and assault.

In June, former NYPD officer Michael Pena pleaded guilty to raping a schoolteacher at gunpoint, threatening to shoot her in the face if she resisted.
