"We need to steal back the rainbow. We can’t let the gays have it."
So proclaims Bishop Harry Jackson, who spoke at Glenn Beck’s "Under God Indivisible" Conference in Arlington, Texas. As Right Wing Watch reports, Jackson is no stranger to anti-gay declarations, having previously claimed that gay rights advocates are trying to recruit young people “just like during the times of Hitler."
"If marriage is redefined, then the family is redefined," Jackson, who is the founder and chairman of the High Impact Leadership Coalition which opposes both same-sex marriage and abortion, said at the conference. "That’s how you 'Heather Has Two Mommies' being taught to 2nd graders and eight-year-old kids in Massachusetts and California, and folks who cannot reproduce want to recruit your kids."
He continued, "We’re the rainbow coalition. We’re the army of god. We’re the covenant people of god. We have got to break the division that has tried to keep us apart."
