My husband and best man showed up two hours late, six packs and surboards in hand, wearing bathing suits and smiles all around.

I HATE drinking beer out of a glass...... it changes the taste, temperature and adds detergents from beer glass to it.

huffpost, you've already posted a version of this story. you recycled and repackaged it for "international beer day". that alone is pathetic.

what is worse is playing into this myth that somehow women are less feminine if they drink beer, that it is for men. that is truly appalling.

it is exactly that myth that i work against every day, being a female bartender at a craft beer bar.

and you might do well to research that women, in fact, invented beer. Ninkasi is the patron goddess of brewing. in sumeria, only women were allowed to brew and serve beer.

stop with the baseless sexism, already.

My husband and I were married 18 years ago and we had a keg at our wedding. Yes, it was a micro-brew and if I remember correctly it was a lovely IPA. We are beer snobs. Nothing wrong with having a cold one on the big day.

My bride went for a champagne wedding. Someone handed her a bottle as we left the marriage hall and she was quaffing it down before we got in the limo. Get to the park for the traditional walk and she's walking through the park with flowers in one hand and the champagne in the other. Her feet started hurting so she gave me her shoes to carry.

And that's how it went from 4 PM until 4 AM - My husbandly duties were 1/ go get more champagne 2/ hold the shoes 3/ hold the champagne glass while she put on shoes 4/ hold the shoes 5/ go get more champagne.

You sir, ROCK!!!!! Although I have to say..... as a fan of champagne as well.... drinking champagne from the bottle is difficult..... the bubbles make it quite a challenge to swill the stuff. But more power to her..... and kudos to you!
