Daniel Day-Lewis As Lincoln: First Look At 'Lincoln'

FIRST LOOK: Daniel Day-Lewis As Lincoln

Daniel Day-Lewis plays Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln," and judging from the first official still, it's easy to see why: Day-Lewis -- a two-time Oscar winner who last earned a Best Actor trophy for "There Will Be Blood" in 2007 -- bears an uncanny resemblance to the 16th president. Put another way: He looks like a million pennies.

According to Disney, "'Lincoln' focuses on the last four months of the president's life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed." Day-Lewis stars with Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Jared Harris, Jackie Earle Haley, David Strathairn and a host of other famous face.

“Our movie is really about a working leader who must make tough decisions and get things done in the face of overwhelming opposition,” Spielberg said in a press release.
