The Huffington Post will unveil HuffPost Live, its streaming video network, Monday morning at 10AM Eastern Time at live.huffingtonpost.com.

HuffPost Live aims to leverage The Huffington Post's community and social platform to open the conversation to community members around the world, who will be able to join in live via webcam. The network will launch with ten hosts, with eight hours of live programming out of New York and four hours out of Los Angeles each weekday. Highlights will be shown overnight and on weekends.

"We have reached a moment where - thanks to technology - millions of people have a seat at the table and can join what has become a global conversation," Huffington Post Media Group President and Editor-in-Chief Arianna Huffington said in an announcement. "The news is no longer about a few people telling everyone else what happened - it's about everyone telling everyone what's happening right now. And now. And now... This shift from presentation to participation is what fuels HuffPost Live."

The network was co-created by HuffPost Founding Editor Roy Sekoff, who will serve as President of HuffPost Live, and Executive Editor Gabriel Lewis. Executive Editor Mitch Semel rounds out the senior creative team.

"This is not just a video network. It's really a platform for engagement," Sekoff said. "From the beginning, one of our goals has been to try and create the most social video experience possible. And that means putting the HuffPost community front and center in everything we do, including having them join us live on the air. The idea is to provide a platform to people whose voices aren't normally heard in the traditional media."

In addition to the ten hosts, HuffPost reporters, editors and bloggers will make regular appearances on the network.

The network's platform will allow users to browse upcoming segments in the "Green Room" and submit a short video explaining why they want to join the conversation. Producers will also feed relevant links into a "Resource Well" below each video segment, so that viewers can prepare for the conversation and then follow along in real time.
