Office life has its ups and downs and nowhere is that more evident than the work elevator.

A new survey by CareerBuilder reveals some of the more common complaints about elevator behavior: Survey respondents complained of elevator riders talking on cellphones, not holding the door open for people and squeezing into a too-crowded car. Some were just anxious to ride on the things; surely they wouldn't be happy to hear that elevators are responsible for around 27 deaths per year.

But that's just run-of-the-mill stuff. The CareerBuilder survey also turned up some truly disturbing and strange examples of elevator behavior. Check them out in the slideshow below:
