George Stephanopoulos' Cell Phone Rings During 'World News Tonight' Appearance

WATCH: George Stephanopoulos' TV Fail

Television hosts — they're just like us!

Although "Good Morning America" and "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos spends at least 11 hours on live television weekly, he proved on Monday that he is just as human as the rest of us.

Stephanopoulos appeared on "World News with Diane Sawyer" and reported on presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his newly announced vice presidential running mate, Paul Ryan.

Sawyer thanked her ABC News colleague for his contribution, but before she could even finish her sentence, Stephanopoulos' phone started ringing on set for everyone to hear.

For those who are wondering, Stephanopoulos has an iPhone and favors the melodic ringtone, "strum."

Sawyer joked with Stephanopoulos Tuesday morning, tweeting, "Hey @GStephanopoulos, know you're in the middle of @GMA but let's talk. Ringing you now."
