Grimes On 'Jimmy Fallon': Indie Darling's US Television Debut Is An Ethereal 'Genesis'

Grimes Makes U.S. TV Debut

Canadian musician Claire Boucher, aka Grimes, has been making a name for herself in alt-pop, playing on rooftops at South By Southwest and launching vulva-inspired jewelry lines.

But until last night, she hadn't actually made an appearance on American TV. That all changed on the set of "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," where Grimes took to a petal-strewn stage in a red kimono for a dreamy rendition of "Genesis." The song is off her third, Polaris-nominated album, Visions.

Despite Grimes juggling between microphone, keyboard and synthesizer, the spectacle looked almost effortless. Check it out in the video below.
