Kim Kardashian Divorce To Heat Up When Reality Star, Kris Humphries Reunite In Court

Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries To Reunite In Court Today

Almost a year after they wed, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are due to meet in court today. TMZ reports that the estranged couple are expected to appear in court "to either settle the case or prepare for trial." The website also reports that Humphries refuses to settle but is unprepared for his court appearance.

Humphries also reportedly campaigned to have the trial filmed in order to receive a public apology from Kardashian, according to a report in June.

Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31, just 72 days after marrying the Nets basketball player in a lavish televised special for her E! reality show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." While Kardashian, 31, has remained tight-lipped about the divorce, Humphries, 27, sought annulment in December on the basis of fraud, according to paperwork filed on December 1, 2011 at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Kardashian and Humphries reportedly signed a complex pre-nuptuial agreement that included a confidentially clause, barring Humphries from speaking to the public.

Last week, Kardashian mom Kris Jenner stopped by "The Talk" and revealed the advice she gave to her daughter in the wake of her divorce.

"I said to her, you're the one living your own life, you have to be truthful to yourself -- you have to live your truth, so do what you need to do, whatever the reason is -- everyone will one day understand," she said. "Be true to yourself and just be happy. People go 'Oh, the wedding was fake.' What was fake would have been for her to stay where she was and not be true to herself. It was harder for her to break up than it would have been to stay."
