Rachel's (Lea Michele) a little fish in a big pond in New York City, and her teacher Cassandra July (Kate Hudson) is the first to remind her of that in "Glee" Season 4.
In the new promo (above), Cassandra gets to work on humbling Rachel right away.
"I bet you were a big star in Iowa," she says. "Actually, I'm from Ohio," Rachel replies. "Ohio! Even worse," Cassandra says before presumably moving on to another small-town star to torture.
Although Cassandra's treatment of Rachel may seem harsh, Michele told HuffPost that she thought Rachel would be able to rise to the challenge.
"I don't think she's prepared to be in a school full of 1,400 other Rachel Berrys, so that will be a challenge," she said. "But I think it will help her rise to the top."
"Glee" Season 4 premieres on Thurs., Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
