'Louie': Louis C.K. Throws Up All Over A Game Of Cards (VIDEO)

Louis C.K. Throws Up All Over A Card Game On 'Louie'

Things got very surreal on an episode-length anxiety trip for Louis C.K. on "Louie" (Thu., 10:30 p.m. ET on FX). Maybe because his uncle was played by Oscar-winner F. Murray Abraham, Louis allowed himself to be pressured into going to see his father for the first time in two years. Only he must have really, really not wanted to.

It got so bad that he ruined a perfectly good poker game with his comedy buddies. They were all laughing and swapping stories when Louis abruptly vomited on the table.

While the episode never explained why Louis was so anxious about seeing his father, he got chastised about it from almost everyone he met, even his GPS system. Every encounter along the way seemed to be pushing him towards making a decision about whether to confront his fear and actually go through with it.

But as fans have seen, Louis is more than willing to do things that he doesn't want to do because he feels guilty. His uncle's pressure got him all the way to his father's doorstep, but from there, the surreality of the situation kicked in again: he ran away, hopped on a random motorcycle and finally ended up on a boat in open waters.

Finally free and alone, he felt a sense of euphoria ... promptly followed by crushing existential angst.

Follow the bizarre journey that is "Louie" every Thursday at 10:30 p.m. ET on FX.
