I went to see Spakle last night and I engoyed it. It's a Great story on Family, Love, Dreams, Downfalls, Rising Back Up again. Jordan Sang her tail off. It was just Good to me. I Loved the middle sister she won't no joke & Ms. Houston was some else I liked her role even thought she was strict but I understood why because she didnt want her daughters to go through what she went through & Her singing His Eye's Is On The Sparrow won't Nothing but The Truth. Mike Epps Did a Good job too. Sparkle displayed a lot of actors/actresses in a new Light and I liked that. I'm only 19 so I've never seen the original and I really don't care if I do because what I saw Last Night was Great. I'm So Glad Ms. Houston was able to fulfill her dream of remaking this movie.

All in all, it was a good remake. The changes that the producers/writers of Girlfriends made the story more about female empowerment than being a victim...this from someone who enjoyed the original. In both movies, the actresses that played Sister really played the part well.
And, the middle sister kicked butt!

I enjoyed the movie too, Mike Epps surprised me I was expecting him to act silly but he had a serious role good job. Jordan singing was really good, sad about Whitney I wish she was still here, but life goes.on. Ladies the gowns were so nice especially the black and white ones. As soon as the DVD is release to the public I will buy it legally; no bootleg. lol

You are so wrong for saying that. How would you like it if she was your Loved one or even you. No matter How she died or why Ms. Houston was an inspiration to a lot of people young and old and her Memory/Legacy will not die because will stand and speak for it self. You shouldn't talk bad about the dead it just might come back on you.

I saw Sparkle and thought it was a good movie, I don't know why everyone wants to compare it to the original. I enjoyed the acting and the singing in both. It was weird seeing Mike Epps in a different kind of role.

I missed it and will be missing it in the future. I saw the original and am disgusted that when it comes to our people, nothing new or creative can be done. It was great and now NEW things need to be done.

I enjoyed it. Mike Epps was "whoa" in this movie. Whatever scene he was in, he stole the scene. The Sunday dinner scene conversation was acted perfectly. It even made me a little uncomfortable. I also really enjoyed the young lady who played the middle sister. SHE was a force to be reckoned with IMHO. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I'm planning to watch the original again sometime this week.

I have to be honest and say it was just ok. I wasn't disappointed with the acting. I thought I saw Kem in the movie for literally 2 seconds, not sure though.... Mike Epps is a good comedic actor. RIP Whitney.

This movie was okay. The only reason I went to see it was because it came on Sunday on BET,and I wanted to see if would come close to the original. It was okay but I could've waited for the DVD

I went to watch 'SPARKLE' friday with my daughter and her friend it was Awsome i loved it,enjoyed it.Jordon Sparks nailed it,Whitney Houston was amazing i would watch it again.

I went to see this movie and my views are mixed.It was nice to see Ms.Houston and her performance was good.I didn't like Jordan Sparks she's a pretty lady and a good singer but she lacked the soul to pull off the old hits.Ce-Lo can't act .So all in all I could have waited for it in redbox.

Cee-Lo was stunt casting at it's worst. Complete fail. And that wig was ridiculous.
