'Seeds Of Happiness' Spreads Smiles (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'Seeds Of Happiness' Spreads Smiles

Is it possible for a blob of clay to go viral? If this video is any indication, the answer is yes.

Mark Borella is an artist. He is also the type of person you could easily see hosting a children's television show, meaning he has a permanent smile and preposterous amounts of energy.

When his friends were having a bad day, he would take some leftover clay and make them a smile. "I would tell them, 'It's a seed of happiness, I hope it grows,'" Borella told filmmaker and entrepreneur Evan Mueller. Then, it went viral.

"They started wanting them for their friends. And then their friends started wanting 'em. Eventually people were like, 'You gotta make these and sell 'em,'" Borella told HooplaHa. From there, it went to Facebook. Around 18 months ago, Borella started selling his products at retail shops.

"You can't go wrong with a smile," Borella says.
