'Book Of Mormon' Tickets LA: Pantages Theatre To Hold Pre-Show Lottery For $25 Tickets

How To Get $25 'Book Of Mormon' Tickets

Budget-conscious Angelenos now have a shot at seeing "Book Of Mormon," the hit musical that's also known in New York as the most expensive ticket on Broadway.

When the musical debuts in Los Angeles Sept. 5, the Pantages Theater will be holding a pre-show lottery before every single performance (except the official gala debut Sept. 12) for a chance to buy up to two $25 tickets.

The deal mirrors the Broadway production's lottery, reports the Los Angeles Times. In New York, the lottery is for tickets priced at $32 each.

How to get $25 "Book Of Mormon" tickets:
WHO: Budget-conscious Angelenos who want to see "Book Of Mormon"
WHEN: Show up two and half hours early before every "Book Of Mormon" show except the Sept. 12 official gala debut. (The show runs from Sept. 5 - Nov. 25, Tuesdays through Sundays)
WHERE: The Pantages Theatre Box Office, 6233 Hollywood Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90028
HOW: Write your name and the number of tickets needed (up to two) on a card and enter it into the lottery. Half an hour later, theatre staff will draw names randomly from the lot, and winners will get the opportunity to buy tickets -- cash only.
WHY: Because even though the show's not sold out yet, most of the tickets left start at around $82, and for some theater lovers, that price point just isn't an option.

The theater isn't giving any clues on how many $25 tickets are available per show, and warn that only one person per party is allowed to enter the lottery. Winners must be present when their names are called and willing to show a valid ID. The sale is cash-only. For more details, check out the Pantages Theatre's official site.

Good luck!
