When we see Solange Knowles on the red carpet, we usually think one thing: Man, is she cool. So, when we saw inside her Brooklyn townhouse, which is featured in Elle's September issue, we weren't surprised that it was as bold and beautiful as she is and we had to share this house tour.
Knowles, who moved to Brooklyn a year ago, wanted to decorate the space in wild colors and patterns while keeping its warmth and serene feel. So, she decided to go neutral with her furniture and walls, and incorporated color through accessories like Moroccan rugs, bright flowers and embroidered pillows.
We're particularly fond of the array of artwork (sourced from local and distant artists) she has hanging throughout the house. We also love how she uses tableware from Anthropologie and Williamsburg’s mc&co, to dress up her ordinary wood dining table.
Looking at this abode, it's clear to Knowles exudes style and strength...everywhere.
