Michael Pineda was arrested in Tampa, Fla. for DUI on Monday morning, according to the New York Post.

10 News in Tampa also reported the arrest of the injured New York Yankees pitcher and posted his mugshot at WTSP.com.

Per the Post, the 23-year-old was speeding without his headlights on until a police officer pulled him over at 2:35 a.m. According to 10 News, the arrest occurred "shortly after 3 a.m." Both outlets report his blood-alcohol level was .128.

Pineda's season with the Yankees didn't get off to a good start when he suffered a right shoulder injury in spring training. It was until late April that the Yankees announced he would need arthroscopic surgery and miss the entire season.

The Yankees acquired Pineda, who was coming off an All-Star rookie season, from the Seattle Mariners in January 2012 in exchange for catcher Jesus Montero.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — New York Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda has been charged with drunken driving in Tampa.

Pineda went to the Yankees in the offseason trade that sent catcher Jesus Montero to Seattle. Pineda remained in Tampa at the Yankees' spring training facility after hurting his shoulder in March and has not pitched in a game this season.
