Pi Cake Pan Perfect For Math-Loving Bakers

Attention Math Nerds: A Pi Cake Pan Is Coming Soon

Thanks the the magic ways of the Internet, Pi Day (March 14 -- pretty sure you can figure that one out) has unofficially become the day that food bloggers create cakes and pies (pis?) that resemble the symbol for pi. While intrepid bakers were always able to carve out the symbol without a specific mold, for those a bit more pastry challenged, a solution is now here: the pi cake pan.

We're loving the description from Perpetual Kid, who will sell the mold for $11.99 starting October 2012:

Mathematics and baking, finally together? Calling all baking geeks! Our Pi Cake Pan will let you make a cake, gelatin or even an ice mold! The usual formula for pi is the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle, but in this case it’s the ratio of awesome to delicious!

Once the pi cake pan is available, you've got five months to perfect your recipe before Pi Day 2013.
