Anahí, the 29-year-old Mexican actress, singer and total celebrity, is ready to crossover.

After spending 26 years of her life on Mexican television, with over two dozen records to her name, the triple threat from Mexico City is ready to debut in the U.S. market. But you won’t be hearing the singer-songwriter belting out tunes in English or starring in a new series, the star has decided to step into the market with a pair of bright colored pumps -- designed by none other than, well, Anahí.

Best known for her role as Mia in the Mexican telenovela “Rebelde” -- and as a member of the show's internationally renowned spin-off band "RBD" -- the star first launched the Latina-oriented shoe line in her native country back in April, through the online shoe store Aviesta. The U.S. publicity campaign dubbed “Los Zapatos Fabulosos de Anahí” (Anahí’s Fabulous Shoes) began Tuesday.

As the newest Director of Fashion for Aviesta, and as reported by Univision, the singer said in an April press conference that rather than design the shoes -- which is carried out by a team of experts -- Anahí gives her final "touch" to the design, giving ideas of what she likes.

"I make suggestions with drawings of the shoes' designs so that Latina women see them as pretty, like the ones the celebrities use on the red carpets, but at prices accessible to everybody," she told Spanish news agency EFE on Tuesday.

Clearly the star’s beauty transcends borders, being named the 98th sexiest woman in the world in this years MAXIM’s HOT TOP 100, but will her shoe line? The website lets you take a Style Quiz and then gives you a monthly “showroom” of feminine named shoes to choose from. And what would Anahí’s ideal shoes be like?

“They would super tall because I’m very short, at least 9 inches, a really vibrant color, and they would be called Carmen, because I love that name,” Anahí said in the April press conference.
