Chanel Business Club In South Korea Gets Sued By... Chanel

If You Name Your Bar Chanel Business Club, Chanel Will Sue You

Don't steal designer brand names. Just, don't. Because those brands are really big and really rich and pretty scary and they will come and sue your butt.

A South Korean bar learned this timeless lesson this week when the Seoul Central District Court ordered it to pay Chanel approximately $8,800 in damages. As AFP reported, the problem was the bar's name: Chanel Business Club.

Which may or may not be worse than that time when...

... a South African boutique owner named her store Dolce And Banana.

... all those fake Apple stores existed.

That's not counting the countless shoes, bags and clothes that have been confiscated for falsely bearing a designer name (including 20,000 pairs of fake Christian Louboutins just last week). What have we learned, class? Don't steal designer brand names.
