'Face Off' Season Premiere: Contestant Storms Off After Critique Of 'Star Wars' Challenge 'Train Wreck' (VIDEO)

'Face Off' Premiere: Contestant Walks Out After 'Star Wars' Challenge

For the new season of "Face Off" (Tue., 9 p.m. ET on Syfy), the show is putting the fate of the talented prosthetic make-up artists in the hands of the viewers. They will decide in the end who takes home the grand prize. One person who won't be taking it home, though, is the contestant who quit the show in the first week.

It looks like "Project Runway" isn't the only show proving too much for contestants, as the first judging session proved too much for Joe. He stormed off the set and was subsequently disqualified.

Joe and his partner Tommy were rightfully called out for their design work, which looked awful. The challenge was to create an alien look that would fit into the classic cantina scene from "Star Wars," but their attempt was more accurately described as a train wreck.

Tommy blamed Joe almost entirely for the mess they created, and he was mostly right to do so. Joe basically took over the project entirely by himself and dismissed almost every contribution Tommy made. In other words, he stood a good chance of getting booted anyway, and maybe he knew that.

The new season of "Face Off" continues Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.
