The Bible is believed to be the best-selling book with over 6 billion copies in circulation worldwide. More than 80 percent of Americans own a copy of the Bible. But how much do Americans actually know about it? "
"The American Bible Challenge", a game show on GSNTV hosted by author and comedian Jeff Foxworthy aims to find out exactly that. Foxworthy, a devout Christian himself, has made several appearances on television, most notably in "Blue Collar TV," as the host of "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" and as the star of "The Jeff Foxworthy Show."
Aiming to be family-friendly, the weekly show, which will premiere on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, features 18 teams who will compete based on their knowledge of the Bible. Each team is playing for a charity, and these charitable organizations range from churches to hospitals. As the show progresses, the contestants will share their compelling faith stories. Learn more about the teams and charities here.
