Do you have a jar of tahini sitting in the back of your fridge waiting for the next time you feel up to making hummus? If you do, then you know the odds of that jar going bad before you use it are pretty high. Because as good as hummus is, most of us don't want to eat it everyday.

The good news is you don't have to. There are many different tahini recipes you can turn to that don't involve chickpeas -- like chocolate brownies and cookies. So if you don't have a jar of tahini, you just might want to get some.
