CHART: What We Thought USADA Stood For Before It Banned Armstrong

The superstar cyclist, whose stirring victories after his comeback from cancer helped him transcend sports, chose not to pursue arbitration in the drug case brought against him by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. That was his last option in his bitter fight with USADA and his decision set the stage for the titles to be stripped and his name to be all but wiped from the record books of the sport he once ruled. The USADA... those are the people who decide what's going on with your meat, right? Wrong. But that's kind of what we thought, too. Examining more closely, we realized that, before it stripped Lance Armstrong of his titles, not only did none of us know that the USADA stood for United States Anti-Doping Agency, there were no less than seven other names we thought were more likely.

In situations like this, one must turn to pie charts. Below, you'll see everything we thought USADA could possibly stand for, organized by percentage of likelihood. It's all very scientific.
