The America's Cup had a tense moment Friday when Oracle Team USA had a high speed crash at the start of a race, taking out the Race Committee boat in the process.
According to America's Cup organizers, skipper Russell Coutts had been trying to squeeze through a narrow gap between the Race Committee boat and another racer, but didn't quite make it.
"I thought there might be a gap there, and there wasn't," said Coutts in a release. "It was a tough break. I didn't think it was that risky."
Fortunately, no one was injured.
