Police have shut down Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood after a gunman reportedly fired at construction workers from an apartment balcony.

Sunset Boulevard near North Cherokee Avenue was closed after 3 p.m. so that LAPD officers could swam the area in search for the culprit, reports the Los Angeles Times.

He may be barricaded in the apartment from which he was firing the gun, reports CBS2/KCAL9.

No injuries have been reported yet.

UPDATE : Police arrested Robert Page-Roberts, an entertainment industry prop master, on suspicion of firing a gun from an apartment balcony Monday, reports NBC LA.

Two other people, a man and a woman, were arrested but later released.

What police believed to be a second gun and an explosive found at the arrest scene turned out to be replicas and may have been props, notes the Associated Press.

Page-Roberts was held at the LAPD's Hollywood Station in lieu of $250,000 bail, reports Hollywood Patch.
