Congrats to model Mariacarla Boscono, who boldly posed pregnant and nude... and then had her baby!

Well, it wasn't that immediate. Boscono, a favorite face of Givenchy, joined fellow strutters Kate Moss and Kristen McMenamy in a shoot entitled "Fawnicate," which appears in LOVE magazine's latest issue. Like so many models and celebs before her, Mariacarla stripped down to bare her pregnant belly for a pic snapped by Mert and Marcus.

WARNING: The photo below contains full-frontal nudity and may not be safe for viewing at work.

Unlike many models and celebs before her, she turned to face forward and bared everything -- no coy cupping of the belly or shielding of the nipples here. This is what a woman looks like when she's pregnant, everyone... and when she's got a great bikini wax.

Boscono's bold pose caught our attention when the image hit the Internet yesterday. But today there's even bigger news: Mariacarla has given birth! Anna Dello Russo tweeted the news, saying "Congratulations to Mariacarla Boscono and Andrea Patti. All my best for their newborn Marialucas." It's the first child for Boscono and Patti, her husband.

The whole thing gets us thinking: is posing for a nude pregnant photo shoot the best way to induce labor? Model Sasha Pivovarova posed for an elegant topless shot and gave birth to her baby girl just days later and Alessandra Ambrosio posted pics of very nude-and-pregnant shoot (done by Mert and Marcus, natch)... and sure enough, her little boy arrived the very next day.

Just saying, guys.
