'United Bates Of America': The Duggars Guest Star As The Families Meet Up And Hang Out (VIDEO)

The Duggars And The Bates Hang Out On 'United Bates Of America'

The Bates family headed off for a home-schooling conference where they were excited to see their friends the Duggars on the latest episode of "United Bates of America" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on TLC). Both families have 19 children, which has created a life-long bond, though they don't get to see one another as often as they'd like.

In fact, Jim Bob Duggar commented on the fact that the Bates family seems to have made a few additions since they saw them last. The same could probably be said for the Duggars. The kids enjoyed hanging out while the Duggars cooked up burgers and hot dogs to feed both families.

But while it's all happiness and friendship between the Bates and the Duggars in real life, the viewers at home can't help but compare the two families. With "19 Kids & Counting" having been on the air longer, fans have gotten to know the Duggars better, but that's not the only reason they seem to prefer them.

According to Crushable, the Duggars are weirder which makes them more interesting to watch. But this is only the Bates' third week on the air, so they may yet have some hidden weirdness they've yet to show.

Tune in to "United Bates of America" every Monday at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
