We've seen some great magazine covers and fashion ads in the month of August, but we've also seen some great covers and ads ruined by bad Photoshop flubs, from missing hands to carved out thighs.

As this month comes to an end, we pay honor to some of the worst Photoshopping fails we've seen in August 2012.

Click through our slideshow and see just how out of hand it got!

  • Victoria's Secret

We're used to seeing Victoria's Secret catalogues filled with super-skinny, super-shiny models in skimpy underwear. The problem comes when these models are <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/02/victorias-secret-photoshop-fail_n_1734800.html?utm_hp_ref=photoshop-fail" target="_hplink">spliced in two and made to look like they have unnaturally whittled waists</a>. This was the case with VS's picture of model Lais Ribeiro, whose bottom half doesn't match her top half. Yikes! (Victoria's Secret)

  • Alloy

We don't subscribe to the Alloy catalog but luckily someone does and sent this photo to <a href="http://www.psdisasters.com/2012/07/alloy-the-cure-for-tennis-elbow.html" target="_hplink">psdisasters.com</a>. Although the model in this ad doesn't look unnaturally Photoshopped, she is missing an elbow. This begs the question, what were the folks at Alloy trying to do when their mouse slipped? • BCBG Maxazria

We understand that models have long legs. We get it! However, we refuse to believe that they have adjustable knees. In this BCBG ad, the models seem to be having some patellar trouble. Both these ladies have the left side of their skirts bent at angles where their knees should be while their right legs are bent unnaturally at a much lower position. Either their right legs were elongated, their left legs were straightened or models have evolved to have adjustable appendages. (Courtesy photo)

  • H&M

For the last H&M accessories style book, Arlenis Sosa and Jessica Stam were photographed by Mikael Kangas. The pictures are glossy and colorful (standard H&M) but one picture caught our Style eye. This photo of Sosa holding a number of purses looks just fine until you look at her torso. There are no creases and in fact, it looks cartoonish. If Sosa were leaning against/basically sitting on the back of a Vespa, her dress would have creases, right? (Courtesy photo)

  • Karma Loop/Free People

We're not sure who is to blame for this photo, Free People or Karma Loop. In all honesty, this model doesn't look like a typical Free People model so we're kind of confused...but not as confused as when we first saw this photo and realized that the model's right breast has been enhanced, leaving the left one deflated. Super yikes! (<a href="http://www.karmaloop.com/product/The-Star-Crop-Bra-in-Black-Combo/283374" target="_hplink">Karma Loop</a>)

  • Juicy Couture

When we first saw these photos of Namibian model Behati Prinsloo for Juicy Couture's fall 2012 jean line, we expected to see signs of Photoshop in Prinsloo's arms, torso or even hips. We were happy to see that the model actually looked pretty natural, until we realized that her left foot in this photo is wonky and she's missing several toes. (Courtesy photo)

  • Jimmy Choo

We have to admit that we're not sure if there is a Photoshop fail in this Jimmy Choo perfume ad. The model looks very thin (as per usual) and the angle from which the photographer took the picture makes her look very limby. We became suspicious when we saw the size of her right leg; it looks bigger than her left and it looks like her left calf muscle has been whittled away. (Courtesy photo)

  • Longchamp

We're not going to lie, we kind of love Lisa Winkler and Coco Rocha's campaign for Longchamp, but this photo made us cock our heads to one side and say, "huh?" Although the two models are supposed to be dancing and playing on the streets of NYC (fun!) we're not sure we believe Winkler's pose here. Either her legs are actually very VERY long or something's been tampered with. (Courtesy photo)

  • Peet Dullaert

Model Iris van Berne is photographed in this campaign for Dutch label Peet Dullaert. We're not sure if the campaign was all about trying to confuse the eye into thinking the clothes have been drawn on, but either way there is some MAJOR Photoshop action going on here. (Courtesy photo)

  • Set

Can we just say...OW! Russian model Anna Selezneva has been stretched to her limit in this photo for German label Set. While her left leg is lifted onto a couch, her right leg has been attacked by some vicious monster that bit right into her thigh! Also, this is a terrible Photoshop job. Terrible. (Courtesy photo)

  • Victoria's Secret

<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/29/victorias-secret-photoshop-fail-doutzen_n_1840958.html?utm_hp_ref=style" target="_hplink">Doutzen Kroes looks very sharp in a new photo</a>, modeling Victoria's Secret's new Printed Chiffon Robe. Although we all know that the lingerie retailer is Photoshop-happy, we're surprised to see how terrible their work on this robe is! It reminds us of something we may have made on Window Paint.
