Baby Bather Recall: Summer Infant Recalls Over 2 Million Products

2 Million Baby Bathers Recalled

Summer Infant is recalling over 2 million of their Deluxe/Mother's Touch Baby Bathers due to fall and head injury hazards.

The baby bathers, which were sold in the U.S. and Canada in stores and online, have a faulty side hinge that can cause the wire frame of the bather to collapse. When carrying a baby in it, there is a risk of falling and serious head injuries. 7 injuries have been reported, 4 of which had skull fractures and one of which required intensive care for brain bleeding.

The models recalled were sold between September 2004 and November 2011 and have the following model numbers:

18004, 18040, 18049, 18050, 18120, 18125, 18129, 18254, 18360, 18375, 18379, 18390, 18394, 18440, 18445, 18449, 18470, 18475, 18479

Summer Infant is offering free repair kits to fix the hinge.
