Larry Stein, the lawyer for country singer and tabloid target LeAnn Rimes, has confirmed to HuffPost Celebrity that a lawsuit has now been filed on behalf of Rimes. “Accordingly, neither I or LeAnn’s publicist will be making further comments at the time,” Larry Stein said in an email to me. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court the same day Rimes checked into a treatment facility to help cope with anxiety and stress that were reportedly brought on by Twitter attacks. In the file document, LeAnn alleges both Kimberly Smiley and Lexi Smiley illegally recorded a phone conversation, without her consent. Rimes is now suing for invasion of privacy. Kimberly Smiley did not return our calls requesting a comment.
