A small earthquake shook the LA area at 3:26 a.m. Monday.
Initial reports from USGS indicate that the 3.2 magnitude quake was centered in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Immediately after the quake, Beverly Hills police units mobilized to drive through the city in search of damage, reports BHScanner on Twitter. So far, no damage has been reported, although it seems several alarms have been set off:
UPDATE: "Every alarm in the city is going off," confirmed Beverly Hills police watch commander Sgt. Michael Publicker to the Associated Press. Sgt. Publicker also said that the department has been receiving calls from anxious residents, but that officers haven't reported any signs of structural damage so far, notes AP.
The Los Angeles Fire Department went into "Earthquake Emergency Mode" shortly after the quake hit to assess any damage done, but concluded the citywide survey at around 4:10 a.m without incident. From the LAFD's twitter alert:

Beverly Hills is located on a fault called the West Beverly Hills Lineament, an extension of the powerful Newport-Inglewood Fault System that caused the second deadliest quake in California's history, notes Zev's Blog.
CORRECTION: Initial reports from USGS measured the earthquake at a 3.3 magnitude, but later downgraded it to 3.2. This story has been updated to reflect the change.
