While sleeping on a cloud may never truly be a reality (though we'll still dream), we may have found the next best thing: Air Naps.
Yes, Air Naps.
Air Naps are taken in silky, cocoon-shaped hammocks that are suspended from the ceiling. Shama Patel developed Air Nap classes at her studio, Flex + Fit, in Charlotte, N.C., for members of the corporate world. "I created the class to offer overworked corporate America a way to recharge and return to work rejuvenated and ready to take on the day," Patel wrote in her Flex + Fit newsletter.
The Huffington Post's Oasis just happens to be at the Flex + Fit health club, so attendees have the opportunity to experience weightless napping for themselves.
Since we know a 15- to 20-minute nap can temporarily help to hamper sleep deprivation, why not take it to the next step and do it in the sky? Plus, research shows that rocking helps promote a deeper sleep than stationary sleeping.
Check out the slideshow below to see the Air Naps in action at the Oasis. Would you try this suspended sleeping? Or does the height factor turn you off? Let us know in the comments section below!
