Jon Stewart Jabs Dems For Lukewarm DNC Opening With 'Yes We Can, But...' (VIDEO)

'How Do You Get Caught Flat-Footed On The Better Off Question?'

After spending a week in Tampa covering the Republican National Convention, Jon Stewart and "The Daily Show" have moved up to Charlotte, North Carolina to give the Democratic National Convention a whirl. But while Democrats from far and wide may be ready for a week of rallying and getting amped up, the President's campaign team seems a little more timid than Stewart would like.

When asked, “Are the American people better off now than they were four years ago?” in TV interviews, staffers David Axelrod, Stephanie Cutter and David Plouffe all gave lukewarm answers.

Stewart's advice? "Just. Say. Yes."

With the likes of Chuck Norris and Ronald Reagan's legacy up against them, the Dems are going to need to bring a little more fire in the coming week.
