Jon Stewart Mocks Democrats For Co-Opting GOP Issues At The DNC (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

On Wednesday night's "Daily Show," Jon Stewart was pretty amused by the Democrats' attitude thus far during the DNC. Over the first two days, the party has heavily emphasized religion, family values and military service -- arguably the GOP's bread and butter -- in an attempt to ramp up their patriotism points.

Stewart summed up the convention thus far, saying, "America is the greatest, self-reliant, mom and dad, eagle-creator that has ever existed in the history of Jesus."

But beyond the co-opting of issues, Stewart couldn't help but notice a certain "mythical" vibe being given to the President. It's not exactly subtle, but there's definitely a bit of a superhero thing going on with the way his supporters are describing him.

Will Obama appear onstage in an Iron Man suit? Only time will tell.
