Julie Chen Talks About 'The Talk' And Its 'No Makeup' Premiere On 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

Julie Chen Talks About 'The Talk''s No-Makeup Premiere

"The Talk" is making a bold statement for its season premiere. Julie Chen stopped by "Late Show" to talk about the plan that had her sister in a panic. She told People Magazine that she had some reservations at first, as well. The plan is for all the co-hosts of "The Talk" to go without makeup for the season premiere.

"Luckily, what makes our show work is that the women who sit at that table are comfortable enough in their own skin that we'll all take that risk," Chen told People.

But her sister was the first to call her when the news broke. According to Chen, her sister told her, "Without your hair and makeup you look like a Chinese food delivery boy!"

"You and I have that in common," Letterman quipped.

Viewers will just have to tune in to the season premiere of "The Talk" on Monday, September 10 at 2 p.m. ET. "Late Show with David Letterman" -- with makeup -- airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET. Both shows are on CBS.
