This week Jenifer Lewis premiered her new YouTube scripted series aptly titled, “Jenifer Lewis and Shangela.”

Produced by Lewis and The Collaboration Factory, the four part comedy series follows the legendary actress and singer alongside former “RuPaul's Drag Race” contestant Shangela Wadley (also known as D.J. Pierce) as she mentors the up and coming performer.

“Jenifer Lewis and Shangela is a fun romp for our fans,” the former Webster University student said in a press release. “We want to share the good times and unpredictable foolishness we enjoy just hanging out together.”

The Mary Lou Belli-directed web series comes off the heels of Lewis’ much anticipated return to Broadway in July during her limited cabaret show at New York’s, 54 Below.

Check out new episodes of Jenifer Lewis and Shangela every Wednesday this month on the show’s official YouTube channel.
