'American Idol' Judges: Randy Jackson Back As Judge, Enrique Iglesias Out (REPORT)

Randy Jackson In, Enrique Out On 'Idol'?

The "American Idol" judges saga continues with new reports putting Randy Jackson back on the panel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Enrique Iglesias' judging deal fell through and Jackson will return to his judge seat despite reports that he would be moving into a mentor role. Mariah Carey is the only officially announced judge for Season 12 of "American Idol." Both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez officially announced their exits from the Fox singing competition show earlier in the summer of 2012.

If the rumors are true, former "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell thinks it's the right decision.

Nicki Minaj is rumored to be closing a deal to sit alongside Carey. "You know something, I don't know [if I'll be a judge] yet," Minaj told Rolling Stone. "I really don't know. I have no comment on it." THR reports her deal is not yet closed. Keith Urban is also reportedly close to finalizing a contract to judge "Idol."

"American Idol" returns to Fox in the winter of 2013.
