Eva Longoria Used To Be A Seat Filler At The ALMA Awards, And Now She's Hosting

Eva Longoria is excited to be co-hosting the NCLR ALMA Awards (The National Council of La Raza American Latino Media Arts Awards) with George Lopez, for the third time, on September 21. On "Conan," she revealed that in a way, this is her career coming full-circle.

"I was a seat filler at the ALMA awards. Ten years ago, I used to be a seat filler," she said. "American dream."

Conan O'Brien then told her that he'd also been a seat filler early in his career. He said that sometimes the seat fillers even stood in for celebrities during rehearsals, and that one time he'd subbed for Tina Turner.

The awards will honor notable Latino celebrities like Christina Aguilera, who is getting a special career achievement award, as well as Ryan Lochte and other Latino Olympic medalists.

Tune in to see Eva Longoria and George Lopez host the 2012 NCLR ALMA Awards on Friday, September 21 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. "Conan" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.
