Charles Woodson: Jay Cutler 'Will Just Throw Us The Ball'

Charles Woodson Takes Shot At Jay Cutler

Jay Cutler was brimming with confidence when he arrived at Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. The Chicago Bears' quarterback even wished Green Bay's secondary "good luck" in covering Brandon Marshall and handling his team's new-look offense.

Coming off a dominant win over Indianapolis in Week 1 -- with Cutler throwing for 333 yards and two touchdowns and Marshall recording 119 receiving -- the Bears quarterback invited the Packers to use all types of coverage. The Packers accepted the invitation, intercepting four of Cutler's passes and sacking him seven times en route to a 23-10 victory.

Charles Woodson, who was responsible for one of those four interceptions, had this to say about Cutler after the game.

"It's the same old Jay," Woodson told ESPN, via the Chicago Tribune. "We don't need luck, Jay will throw us the ball. Proof is in the pudding."

Along with his four interceptions, Cutler finished the game 11-of-27 passing for 126 yards.

The former Vanderbilt star was noticeably frustrated throughout the game and at one point was caught by NFL Netowrk camerasyelling at offensive lineman J’Marcus Webb.

"When we're not doing the little things or not doing things the right way consistently, I'm going to say something," Cutler told reporters after the loss. "If they want a quarterback that doesn't care, they can get somebody else."
