New York Fashion Week: The Most Outrageous Nail Trends Spotted At Rodarte, The Blonds, Prabal Gurung And More (PHOTOS)

The Craziest Manicures At Rodarte, The Blonds & More

Over the past two seasons at New York Fashion Week, designers have propelled the popularity of nail art, making it the most-anticipated accessory on the runway. And the 150-plus hours nail brand CND's manicurists put in to handcrafting 30 woven nail sets for Rodarte's spring 2013 show are further proof that painting on a few coats of bright nail polish isn't enough to get heads turning.

Led by Senior artist Keri B., MAC Cosmetics made its mark backstage with bloody nail tips at Prabal Gurung and colorful nail polish topped with gold filigree on the ring and pinky fingers at Ruffian. While The Blonds and Rachel Antonoff tapped CND to translate the inspiration behind their collections into multiple thematic manicures. And First Lady favorite Tracy Reese switched things up with two-toned half-triangle stiletto nails. Wonder if Mrs. Obama will give it a try for her next big speech? We can only dream.
