Thomas Keller Reality Show: Phil Rosenthal To Launch Pilot With Famous Chef (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

America's Most Famous Chef To Launch Reality Show

Thomas Keller has finally taken the TV plunge.

The famed French Laundry chef is reportedly helping television producer Phil Rosenthal (of "Everybody Loves Raymond" fame) launch a food and travel reality show. The duo is currently in London filming the pilot.

Rosenthal and Keller exchanged tweets about the trip earlier this month. "Just started packing my bags for our trip next week," wrote Keller. "Have you?"

"Can't think of a better guide than @Chef_Keller," wrote Rosenthal. "I'm packing a big fork."

Later, Rosenthal posted pictures on his Facebook page with Keller at St. John and Murano restaurants in London.

Deadline reported on the yet-to-be-titled reality show earlier this month:

[Rosenthal] is set to do a pilot for a travel and food series, in which "a great chef takes me to a great city and shows me where to eat," he says.

In the pilot, he and chef Thomas Keller will travel to London and spend nine days exploring great eateries in all price ranges with Keller and his local chef friends as guides.

Should the pilot be picked up, Rosenthal reportedly has famed chef and baker Nancy Silverton lined up for an Italian episode and NOBU chef Nobu Matsuhisa for one in Japan.

As Grubstreet reported, Rosenthal has deep connections in the food scene and has invested in restaurants including Umami Burger, Mozza and Keller's Bouchon. And clearly he's no stranger to television.

But onto the important part: what can we expect from Keller? Check out a clip from his KCET documentary for a preview of on-camera-Keller below:
