Harlem's Fashion Row Celebrates Fifth Anniversary With 'The Show' At New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

WATCH: Harlem's Fashion Row Puts On A Spectaular 5th Anniversary Show

The Harlem's Fashion Row (HFR) capped off its 5th anniversary with a spectacular fashion event overlooking the New York City skyline at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The show was a powerful representation of the range and talent that has been grossly overlooked when it comes to designers of color in the fashion industry. HFR is championing the efforts to bring the creations of black designers to the forefront and continued that mission with its beautifully executed event during New York Fashion Week.

The featured designers -- Latisha Daring of Ashtyn, Nzinga Knight of Nzinga Knight, Joseph Bethune of Bethune Brothers and Omar Salam of Sukeina -- presented strong collections, further proving the point that their garments were worthy of some serious recognition. Renowned fashion designer Kevan Hall served as an extra treat. Hall, who has dressed Vivica A. Fox, Garcelle Beauvais, Debra Messing and Renee Zellweger, to name a few, closed the show with beautiful offerings from his signature Spring 2013 collection.

Huffington Post Black Voices has followed this talented group of designers over the weeks, hours, minutes and seconds leading up to showtime. From the selection process, getting to know each designer, introducing them to the press, understanding their creative process and finally see their visions come to life.

As Brandice Henderson, CEO and founder of Harlem's Fashion Row, states in this final video:

"The designers that we're showing are so incredible talented--they have a very unique point-of-view and that's not easy to find. It's very difficult to find in the fashion industry since so much as already been done. So, I think that in itself is going to make this year a show."

And, it was indeed.
