The shooting guard features alongside the Barcelona attacker in a commercial, and he admits he would like to trade positions with the Argentine for a seven-day period.

Kobe Bryant has jokingly suggested an exchange deal between LA Lakers and Barcelona involving himself and Lionel Messi.

The NBA superstar traveled to Europe this week to shoot a commercial for Turkish Airlines together with the Argentina international, and he would be happy to trade places with the 25-year-old for a week.

"What the commercial will be like? Probably Messi will play football and I will play basketball..."

Bryant, 34, is a renowned Barcelona fan and took part in a training session with the Catalans back in 2011 when he visited the club.
