'The Amazing Race' Wins Best Reality-Competition Program At 2012 Emmys

'The Amazing Race' Wins Best Reality-Competition Emmy

"The Amazing Race" won the Best Reality-Competition Program Emmy at the 2012 Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awards in Los Angeles Sunday night.

This is the second consecutive win for "The Amazing Race," which beat out ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," Lifetime's "Project Runway," Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," Bravo's "Top Chef" and NBC's "The Voice." The CBS show had an unbroken streak in this category from 2003-2009, before "Top Chef" scored an upset in 2010, but it looks as though "Race" is back on top.

The show was nominated for seven Emmys this year, including technical categories such as Cinematography and Sound Mixing, but Outstanding Reality-Competition was "Race's" only win.
