Lions Hail Mary: Titus Young Scores Touchdown On Deep Pass To Tie Game Against Titans (VIDEO)

Lions Stun Titans With Amazing Game-Tying Hail Mary

When one game contains a successful "miracle" and a completed "Hail Mary" then you know it was a lot of fun.

First the Tennessee Titans reached back to the 2000 playoffs and pulled off another "Music City Miracle" to score a touchdown on a punt return early against the Lions. But it was Detroit that succeeded on a Hail Mary pass that resulted in a touchdown to tie the game in the final seconds of regulation.

With seven seconds left in the game and Detroit trailing, 41-34, Lions backup quarterback Shaun Hill -- who entered the game for Matthew Stafford who left with a sprained leg muscle -- dropped back in shotgun and launched a pass from midfield. With several Titans defenders in the end zone ready to knock the ball down, it was linebacker Akeem Ayers who got his hand on it. Unfortunately for Tennessee, Ayers deflected the ball right into the hands of Lions receiver Titus Young who lunged forward to catch the game-tying touchdown.

Young sent the game into overtime, but the Titans' offense saved the day for Ayers as kicker Rob Bironas booted the game-winning field goal.
