As far as post-split appearances go, Amy Poehler absolutely nailed it on the red carpet at the Emmys on Sunday evening. The "Parks and Recreation" star wore a sparkly black Stella McCartney gown with a plunging neckline and rocked a surprising piece of jewelry on her ring finger -- but it's not what you think.

"Oh, this is a $2 adjustable ring from my child's toy box," she told Ryan Seacrest. "He told me I should wear it, so I listen to him."

The Emmy's marked Poehler's first red-carpet appearance since announcing her separation from Will Arnett, her husband of nine years, earlier this month. The former couple has two children together -- sons Archie, 3, and Abel, 2.

Poehler was nominated for two awards -- Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for her work on "Parks and Recreation." Arnett also received an Emmy nod for his guest role on "30 Rock."
