Early ratings for the 2012 Emmy Awards are in and it looks like the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted ABC telecast saw a slight increase from last year's Emmys, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The early numbers have the broadcast of the 64th Annual Primetime Emmys bringing in 13.2 million total viewers, up six percent from last year's ceremony -- hosted by Jane Lynch -- which attracted 12.44 million viewers. But the 2012 Emmys didn't bode as well in the key demographic of adults 18-49. Kimmel's Emmy broadcast scored a 3.8, while last year's Emmys boasted a 4.2 demo rating on Fox.

The Hollywood Reporter cautions that because the Emmys were televised live on both coasts, Nielsen's fast affiliate numbers may not be accurate. More information will become available Monday afternoon.

Just like last year, the 2012 Emmys were bested by NBC's Sunday Night Football game. The Baltimore Ravens' come-from-behind victory against the New England Patriots boasted 19.8 million viewers and scored an 8.1 in the key demographic.
