'American Chopper': Junior Feels He Has Nothing To Lose

The great motorcycle-relationship experiment was progressing very well on "American Chopper." The latest episode saw both Mike Teutul Sr. and Jr. feeling confident about how their personal project is helping them open those crucial lines of communication.

"I think every time we’re up here it gets a little progressively better," Senior said. "We’re starting to talk about some of our personal life, which is interesting. I don’t even know if we did that before."

The distraction of the project keeping them busy and focused was allowing for more casual conversation that was soothing past hurts. In fact, Junior said he felt like he can't get hurt in this situation.

"On top of it, I don’t really have anything to lose," he added, considering that he only had to gain a relationship with his father. If the project fails, they're only back where they were when things began.

Follow their progress and root them on as the build and "American Chopper" continue Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery.
