Southwestern Illinois was hit by extreme weather Tuesday evening with reports of tornadoes in Clinton and Washington Counties. KSDK's First Alert Weather Team confirmed that "two tornadoes have been spotted on the ground" near Damiansville and Okawville.
KTVI reports, "A confirmed tornado was located near Okawville and moving southeast at 25 mph with tennis ball size hail."
The National Weather Service has issued a "Tornado Warning for southwestern Clinton County in south central Illinois" until 5:30 PM CDT on Tuesday, reported KMOV.The Weather Channel's Jim Cantore tweeted:
