Attack On U.S. Consulate In Libya Determined To Be Terrorism Tied To Al-Qaeda

U.S. intelligence agencies have determined that the attack on the U.S. mission in Libya involved a small number of militants with ties to al-Qaeda in North Africa but see no indication that the terrorist group directed the assault, U.S. officials said Thursday.

UH OH.. people are starting to not fear the imaginary boogyman that the GOP keeps trotting out every time one of their politicians is losing an election or has done something really stupid. What imaginary threat will the GOP come up with next to scare people into voting for them.

i have said this from the beginning of the raid. there was too much firepower there to be civil unrest.

BO could not invision this coming? we were complicit in removing gadhafi. he is still held in high regard by a large faction of the ex military complex.

why was our security not a high levels. it is a hostile country. we should have had a much larger contingent of marines who have permission to engage if engaged.

This would have never happened had Gaddafi been left in power, now AQ is running amuck in Libya.

I support President Obama and his successes far far outweigh his mistakes but the Libyan rebels are Clinton/Obama's (France and England's) mujahideen and America will be suffering their "empowerment" for some time.

The US has just discovered, that the very same Al Qaeda, that the US worked with in overthrowing the Gaddafi regime in Libya and the very same Al Qaeda, that the US is working with in Syria, was involved in the attack on the US Consulate in Libya?
How does the US know, which are the bad Al Qaeda and which are the good Al qaeda? And how can the US work with Al Qaeda, when it is convenient, while accusing the very same Al Qaeda of supposedly attacking America on 9-11?

Because al-qaida is like the laughing man. Whoever acts like and works with al-qaida, is al-qaida. Most of them never even seen bin laden, he's an idol at best, and that's what makes them impossible to get rid of. Shoot one and his brother becomes one. You can capture them but they know we're not pulling teeth. Best thing is convert them.

All the national and international issues we have today and the HP headliner is about the NFL refs. Goes to show you how desperatly the HP delivers its smoke screens for Obama.
Even this article fails to drive home the fact that the WH is incompetent. Lots of great Americans and foreigners risking their lives in order to gather and deliver information to Obama, and he chooses not to bother with it. Even HRC gets a black eye on this one. According to recent data the US Govt knew it was a terrorist attack the next day. The Obama administration..unwilling to admit it dropped its guard and left a US Ambassador unprotected on 9/11 of all dates....lies to the American public.....Sadly, the left, the main stream media and organizations like the HP give him a pass because its election season.
